DUNDEE BEACH ACCOMMODATION

YKnot GETAWAY faq

  • How do we get to Dundee Beach?
We’re just 140 km (about 90 mins drive) from Darwin Airport. We can organise a bus transfer or hire car for you. All roads are sealed to Dundee, except when turning onto Balanda, it’s dirt road leading up to our property. If you head towards The Lodge of Dundee turn left onto Balanda road and follow it down for approx. 2km to our property. We are located 2km from The Lodge of Dundee and boat ramp.
  • What's in Dundee Beach?
Dundee beach is a costal town in the Top End, a brand new lodge being built mid/end 2023. Its one of the NT best kept secrets and perfect for fishing.
  • What food options are available?
We suggest you do all your shopping in Darwin, our venue has a fully equip kitchen, BBQ facilities and plenty of fridge space. The Lodge of Dundee (local tavern) located just 2km up the road sells fuel, drinks/alcohol, bistro and take-away meals, ice and a small range of essential grocery items from sun-up to sun-down 7 days per week. The IGA supermarket is currently being built and hopefully finished in 2024
  • Crocodile Safety/Swimming at the Beach?
Unfortunately you cannot swim at our beaches, as there may be crocodiles present. The NT is home to the world’s largest wild crocodile population. Be sure to, observe the signs and follow the guidelines and you will be safe. With that being said, you can still enjoy our beautiful Coastline. Its only a short 10/15 minute walk to the beach. Yknot take a morning stroll, collect shells, enjoy a picnic lunch/dinner or to settle in for the afternoon with a beverage or two and watch our famous sunsets. Remember to always take care and be crocwise.
